Faye Roberts Obituary
Faye Roberts, age 84 years, of Whitley City, Kentucky departed this life Saturday, October 26, 2024 at her home.
Faye was born on August 11, 1940, in Keno, Kentucky the daughter of the late Delbert and Louise (Ballou) Wilson.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Bronnie Roberts, whom she married on July 2, 1960. Also preceding her in death was her brother, Carl Wilson; and her beloved sister, Iva Moses.
Surviving family include one brother, Rev. Jerry Wilson of Piqua, Ohio; two daughters, Sheila Roberts Vanover (and Greg) of Whitley City, Kentucky and Sherri Roberts Barnes (and Rick) of Hyden, Kentucky. Also surviving her are two cherished grandchildren with whom she was enormously proud: Michelle Vanover King (and Shane) and Dr. Andrew Barnes (and Nancy). Faye had one special great granddaughter, Cadence King.
Faye was also the aunt of many treasured nieces and nephews.
Faye enjoyed gardening, sewing, cooking for her family, and attending church at the Whitley City Church of God. She was a member of Sidney Baptist Church in Sidney, Ohio.
Funeral services will be held 2pm Wednesday, October 30, 2024 at the McCreary County Funeral Home with Bro. Josh Stephens officiating. Burial will follow in the Angel Cemetery. The family will receive friends after 12pm Wednesday at the Funeral Home.
