Faye is survived by three children, Wendell Bert Summers and his wife Robin of McKee, KY, Jo Ann Witt and her husband Roger of London, KY and Norma Jean Thomas and her husband James of Annville, KY. In addition, she is survived by the following grandchildren, BJ Summers & his wife Jeannena, Scarlett Thomas, Amanda Witt and by the great grandchildren, Tydus Summers, Micah Summers, Eli Summers, Kyrie Summers and Judah Witt. She is also survived by two sisters, Nancy Gaines of London, KY and Thelma Young of Fort Meyers, Fl, sister-in laws, Shirley Smith of London, KY and Wanda Gebhart of Naples, FL, and Marcia Summers of St. Cloud, MN, along with a host of other nieces, nephews and friends to mourn her passing.
Faye was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 62 years, Bert Summers, Jr. and her grandson Jared Wade Witt. She was also preceded in death by the following siblings, Kenneth Smith and Bethie Young.
Faye was a member of the Letter Box Baptist Church. She was known for her kindness and caring nature. Faye was a humble servant of Christ always putting others before herself, loving, helping and genuinely caring for everyone around he. She was an amazing cook and loved to feed anyone who happened to stop and visit. Her kitchen was always open for good food and fellowship.
Faye will be greatly missed by all those who experienced her kindness and love.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Friday, August 15, 2025 at Lakes Funeral Home with Bro. Roger Witt conducting the service. Burial to follow in the Summers Cemetery. Lakes Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. www.lakesfuneralhomemckee.com
