Faye Ryser Wilson, 80, a lifelong resident of Jackson, died March 9, 2024 at Mobile Infirmary Medical Center. Faye was born December 26, 1943 to Pete Sr. and Florence Ann Ryser. She was a member of Stave Creek Baptist Church where she was a beloved Sunday School teacher for many years. Faye found joy in quilting and cooking but most of all she enjoyed being with her family who were very near and dear to her heart.
Faye is survived by her husband, Earnest Graham Wilson; children, Britt Dwayne Wilson, Jennifer Dawn Shoultz and Christie Denice Outlaw (Maurie Grimes Outlaw); grandchildren, Austin Grey Wilson, Brittany Elizabeth Wilson, Jeremy Ivan Wilson (Tracy), Christopher Allen Shoultz (Anna), Randall Shoultz (Jennifer) and Graham Mack Outlaw (Brynn); great grandchildren, Hailey Alice Wilson, Brysun Lee Wilson, Bransun Levi Wilson, Madalyn Ann "Madi" Shoultz, Maci Rebecca Shoultz, Emelia Grace Shoultz, Elliott Graham Shoultz and Stephen Graham Outlaw; siblings, Peggy Ann Driskell, Patricia Louise DuBose (Melton), Jean Carol Craft (Freddie) and Martha Ryser Martin (Bob); as well an numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Peter Ryser, Jr., Joseph Elwyn Ryser and Mary Julia Harvey; and son-in-law, Steve Shoultz.
Services will be held Thursday, March 14, 2024 at Stave Creek Baptist Church. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the service begins at 12:00 p.m. with Bro. Mike Ballard officiating and Lathan Funeral Home directing. Interment will follow in Trinity Memorial Gardens.
Active pallbearers will be Randall Shoultz, Jeremy Wilson, Christopher Shoultz, Austin Wilson, Mack Outlaw, Brittien Schultz, Richard Harvey and Lee Hutto.
Honorary pallbearers will be Kenny Smith and the members of her Sunday School Class at Stave Creek Baptist Church.
While flowers are appreciated, donations may be made in Faye's memory to the American Cancer Society, St. Jude’s's Children's Hospital or the Shriners Hospital.
