She was born on July 10, 1937 in Rapatee, Illinois the daughter of Ralph Tobias and Evelee (Borrell) Woods. She married Gus Roy Monzo on December 4, 1956 in Galesburg, Illinois. He preceded her in death on April 23, 2013.
Surviving is: two sons: Roy Monzo of Galesburg, Illinois and Leonard (Paula) Monzo of Galesburg, Illinois; five grandchildren: Lydia (Nate) Huse, Toby (Brittney) Monzo, Jess (Gina) Monzo, Jake Monzo, and Jennifer (Aaron) Eastburg; eight great-grandchildren: Caleb, Selah, Lola, Scarlett, Sully, Nyomi, Daxton and Lauren; one brother, Robert (Dixie) Woods of Mt. Vernon, Illinois. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and one brother, Charles.
She worked for the former Gale Products in Galesburg, Illinois for 15 years. She was a member of TOPS; she enjoyed to bowl and dancing at the OAKS. She also enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, walking, and traveling to Branson with her husband.
Cremation rites will be accorded. Private graveside services will be held at the Knoxville Cemetery, where she will be interred next to her husband. Hurd-Hendricks Funeral Homes is assisting the family with her wishes. On-line condolences and/or expressions of sympathy may be sent through www.hurd-hendricksfuneralhome.com
