Felecia Anne Tongue, affectionately known as "Sis," was born September 21, 1956,
in Annapolis, Maryland to the late Willie and Agnes Taylor. She gained her wings
on November 22, 2024, after a brief illness with her family by her side.
Felecia and Shawn "Que" Tongue were united in marriage for 32 years. Together
they raised three children; Taron, Erika and Erik.
Felecia received her education in the Anne Arundel County Public School system.
Felecia was employed with the Department of Aging as a caregiver until she
became ill.
Felecia was an active member of Mt. Olive AME Church during her young years.
In her adult years, Felecia joined Rapture / Fresh Start Community Center under
Apostle Craig Coates. She was dedicated to serving communion and other duties.
She enjoyed spending time with her husband Shawn, her children, sisters,
brothers, nieces and nephews, grandchildren and friends. Felecia loved going
out to eat at various restaurants, bowling, shopping and putting puzzles together.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Willie and Agnes Taylor; her brother,
Willie D. Taylor; her sister, Tansey Taylor; and brothers-in-law, Larry Tasker
and John Winchester.
Felecia leaves to cherish loving memories to her husband, Shawn "Que" Tongue;
children: Taron Upchurch (Gwen), Erik Brown (Tara) and Erika Brown;
grandchildren: Jamarion Fagan, Joshua Richardson, Dream Brown, Darlecia,
TyKira, Demerio, and Surya Upchurch, Keshawn James, Monte Alston, and Myra
Jackson (Joel); and great-grandchildren: Logan and Marley. Moreover, she will
be missed by brothers: Willie E. Taylor, Jr. (Darlene) of Annapolis, Curtis Eades of
Annapolis; sisters: Debra Taylor of Glen Burnie, Sharon Tasker of Annapolis,
Darlene Winchester of Baltimore, Michelle Taylor-Parker (Travis) of Edgewater
and Elsie Jefferson of Virginia; sisters-in-law: Tonya Fox, Lawana Tongue, Carla
Tongue-Slocum; brothers-in-law: Ricardo Fox, Marco Tongue, Armo Tongue,
Gino Tongue, Todd Harris and Clyde Hunt; bonus mother-in-law, Julie-Ann
Tongue; devoted friends over 50 plus years, Wanda Tasker-Hopkins and Carolyn
West and a host of nieces, nephews and other family, friends and loved ones.
