Felima Sanchez, who was a beloved mother, grandmother, and devoted member of her community, passed away on January 31, 2026, in Salt Lake City, Utah. Born on November 1, 1931, in Llano San Juan , New Mexico, Felima lived a life characterized by her unwavering love and dedication to her family, as well as her passionate service to her faith.
A devoted Jehovah's Witness, Felima was actively involved in her ministry, where she faithfully served the Jordan River Spanish Congregation. Her commitment to her beliefs was evident in all aspects of her life, which she navigated with grace and compassion. Known for her hospitality, she took great joy in welcoming family and friends into her home, creating a sense of warmth and belonging. Felima's passion for life extended beyond her family and faith; she also enjoyed dancing, particularly square dancing, which brought her immense joy.
Felima was a loving and caring individual, especially passionate about her children and grandchildren. She is survived by her four children: Bernice Sanchez, Judy Bennett (Duane), Deloy Sanchez, and Steven Sanchez (Beth). Additionally, she leaves behind numerous grandchildren who will carry forward her legacy of kindness and devotion.
Felima is preceded in death by her husband, Benjamin Sanchez, and her siblings: Taney Gonzalez, Dorothy Medina, and George Martinez.
In celebration of her life, a viewing will be held on February 11, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 1:45 PM, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM at Memorial's Redwood Mortuary located at 6500 South Redwood Road, West Jordan, Utah 84123.
Her vibrant spirit and commitment to loving those around her will be cherished and remembered by all who knew her.
