Ramon Lugo Sanchez

Ramon L. Lugo Sanchez, affectionately known as JR to his friends and family, was a man whose life was a testament to the strength and warmth of the human spirit. Born on May 30, 1966, in the beautiful town of Utuado, Puerto Rico, JR was a beacon of love and kindness to all who knew him. On February 4, 2026, JR passed away at Cooper Medical Center after a valiant battle with lung disease. His departure from this world leaves a void in the hearts of many, but his legacy of love endures.

JR was the beloved son of his late father, Juan Ramon Lugo DeLaRosa, and his caring mother, Glady Sanchez Reboyes. His life was enriched by the love and companionship of his siblings, Wilma and Jose Lugo. JR's journey through life was shared with his devoted wife, Rosemary Langlois Lugo, who was his rock and closest confidante. Together, they raised two wonderful daughters, Chevonne Dick and Robin Hogan; 5 beautiful grandchildren, Bryann Dick, Zachary Dick, Gabriel Mead, Katrina Hogan & Atreyu Hogan who were the pride and joy of his life. JR's extended family included his cherished sisters-in-law, Dawn Sheppard and Lora Weldon of Laurel Lake, and brothers-in-law, Dick Langlois of Laurel Lake and Curtis Langlois of Port Norris, NJ, as well as several nieces and nephews who adored their Uncle JR.

Although JR's formal education concluded with the 9th grade, he was a lifelong learner with an insatiable curiosity about the world around him. He spent many years employed at Silverton Yacht, Egg Harbor Yacht and Dorchester Shipyard in Dorchester, NJ, where he was known for his strong work ethic and dedication to his craft. His colleagues and friends in these establishments will remember him as a passionate and reliable member of their teams.

A devout Christian, JR lived his faith through his actions, embodying the virtues of love, kindness, and compassion. He found solace in his religion and drew strength from his beliefs, which guided him through life's challenges and triumphs. His interests were simple yet profound, as he found immense joy in fishing, riding Harleys and most importantly, spending time with his family. The love he shared with his wife was the cornerstone of his happiness, and their bond was a source of inspiration to all who witnessed it. JR was a loving, kind, and passionate man, whose presence was a comforting embrace to those around him. He approached life with a gentle heart and a generous spirit, always ready to lend a helping hand or offer a word of encouragement. As it is written in Proverbs 17:17, "A friend loves at all times," and JR was indeed that faithful friend to many.

As we say goodbye to JR, we celebrate a life well-lived, a life that touched so many others in profound ways. We take comfort in knowing that he is now at peace, free from the pain and struggles of this world. His memory will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of those who loved him, and his legacy of love will endure through the lives he has touched. JR will be deeply missed, but never forgotten, as we carry forward the lessons of kindness and love he imparted to us all.

Family and friends will be received from 4:00pm until 5:30pm on Monday February 16, 2026 followed by a funeral service at 5:30pm at DeMarco – Luisi Funeral Home, 2755 S. Lincoln Ave. Vineland, NJ. Burial will be private.
