Felipa Rocha Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Castillo Funeral Home on Mar. 3, 2026.
Felipa J. Rocha, born June 1, 1934, in La Vernia, Texas, was called home to be with the Lord on February 26, 2026, at the age of 91. Felipa lived a life rooted in faith, family and hard work. Her journey in life also took her to Minnesota and Oregon, where she built many memories. She worked as a Certified Nurse's Assistant, dedicating herself to caring for others with compassion and strength. Earlier in her life, she worked on a farm picking beets, never afraid of hard work and always doing what was necessary to provide for her family. Felipa was a devoted mother to Gloria, Johnny, Joe, Ricky, Rosie, and Peter. She was reunited in heaven with her son, Tomas and daughter, Sabrina who preceded her in death. She was also blessed with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She found happiness in the simple pleasures of life. Felipa loved watching her novelas, playing lotería and singing from her heart. She was a big jokester who enjoyed laughing and making others laugh. Her warmth and humor could light up any room. She especially loved fideo with beans and never passed up a sweet slice of watermelon. Her faith was the foundation of her life. She had a tremendous love for God, a deep devotion to the Virgin de Guadalupe and El Niño Fidencio. She often sang songs dedicated to her faith, filling her home with praise and devotion. Her unwavering belief guided her through life's joys and hardships. Felipa's legacy is one of strength, laughter, devotion, and unconditional love. She will be deeply missed but forever remembered in the songs she sang, the prayers she whispered, and the joy she brought to everyone blessed to know her. May she rest in eternal peace in the arms of the Lord.
