Felipe V. "Fila" Bernal, III

Felipe V "Fila" Bernal III passed away on December 25, 2025, in Odessa, Texas, at the age of 71. Born on July 20, 1954, in Sonora, Texas, Felipe brought warmth and joy to those around him throughout his life.

Felipe was the beloved son of Felipe Bernal Jr. and Aurora Bernal, both of whom preceded him in death. He was also predeceased by his brother, Richard Bernal. His legacy continues through his children: son Felipe Bernal IV and daughters Belinda Bernal and Susie Bernal. He was a proud grandfather to Jermaine, Richard, Tina, Enzo, Isaiah, Isaac, Natalie, Amara, and Keilynn.

Known affectionately as "Fila," Felipe had a vibrant laugh that could light up any room. He was caring and big-hearted—qualities that defined how he lived each day. Whether he was cooking for loved ones or simply spending time with friends and family, Felipe found joy in nurturing those around him. He especially enjoyed watching football and never missed an opportunity to cheer on his favorite teams. His love extended even to his granddogs, whose antics brought him great amusement.
