Felipe Equihua-Ramos, 65, of Columbus passed from this life at 10:50 a.m. Tuesday, April 30, 2024, at Franciscan Health in Indianapolis.
The Equihua family lost a good man to prostate cancer.
Felipe was born July 16, 1958, in Michoacan, Mexico, the son of Vincente Equihua-Magana and Juana Ramos-Olivos.
Felipe was a strong and humble man who enjoyed spending time with his loved ones.
As a man of great faith, he struggled against a great obstacle and was able to find clarity in the word of God.
Although he did not finish high school, he learned how to make guitars, furniture, and various wooden things to become a carpenter by trade.
In the early 2000s, he changed course of life and started working at Rightway Fastners Inc. until his retirement in 2023.
He was a faithful member of St. Bartholomew Catholic Church.
He married the love of his life, Maria Del Carmen Urbina Equihua and together they have five children, Noel, Liz, Lupe, Lucia and Sandy; also surviving, two grandchildren; one great-grandson; five brothers and three sisters.
A Mass of Christian Burial service will be held at 12:30 p.m. Thursday, May 9, 2024, at St. Bartholomew Catholic Church with Father Chris Wadelton officiating.
Family and friends may gather for a time of visitation from 10:30 a.m. to time of service Thursday at the church.
He will be laid to rest at Garland Brook Cemetery.
