Born on June 26, 1936, in Grants, New Mexico, Felix lived a life filled with love, laughter, and countless memories that will resonate deeply with his family for generations to come.
Felix dedicated a significant part of his life to uranium mining, where he not only forged a career but also built friendships and connections that lasted throughout his lifetime. Beyond his professional accomplishments, Felix found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He adored the great outdoors, spending many blissful hours fishing and embracing nature's beauty. His heart swelled with warmth whenever he was surrounded by his beloved children, Elmer Apodaca, Lowanna Lavallee, Karen Hernandez, and Nanette Nunley, and his treasured grandchildren and great grandchildren. The time spent with them brought him immense joy and fulfillment, as he cherished every moment they shared.
Felix had a profound love for stargazing, often finding solace and inspiration in the night sky, allowing him to reflect on life. He also enjoyed the tradition of pinon picking, understanding the significance of family gatherings and shared experiences, which fostered deep connections and fond memories.
A proud veteran, Felix served in the United States Army, where he exemplified bravery and dedication, values that he carried with pride into civilian life. His service was a testament to his commitment to his country and community, virtues that will endure in the memories of those he left behind.
Felix is lovingly remembered by his children and grandchildren, and extended family members, who will forever hold close the warmth of his presence, his laughter, and the wisdom he imparted through the stories he shared. Though he is reunited with his beloved wife, Adelina Apodaca, who predeceased him, his spirit lives on in the hearts of those he loved.
Family and friends are invited to honor Felix's life during a memorial service at The Way, the Truth and the Life Church in Grants, New Mexico, on November 24, 2025, starting at 10:00 AM, followed by burial at Grants Memorial Park Cemetery at 11:00 AM. There will also be a memorial gathering at the church at 11:45 AM, where all who knew and loved Felix can come together to celebrate a remarkable life filled with love, laughter, and adventure.
Felix Salvador Apodaca leaves behind a lasting legacy of love, humor, and the importance of family—a legacy that will be cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing him. May his memory be a guiding light for those he leaves behind.
