One of a Kind -
Felix Manuel Rivera, age 26, of Harrisburg, was set free to be embraced by the angels on Saturday, February 16, 2019. Felix was born on Wednesday, January 13, 1993 in Brooklyn, NY to Cathy (Albarran) Rivera. Felix is preceded in death by his beloved canine companion, Lillie.
Felix's survivors include his mother: Cathy (Albarran) Rivera of Harrisburg; his five siblings: Janece Rivera, and her significant other, Dominic Brown, of Lancaster, his twin brother, Manuel Rivera of Harrisburg, Joseph Rivera of Lock Haven, Jayvien Rivera of Harrisburg, Kevin Rivera of Harrisburg; his nephew, Julien Brown; his niece on-the-way, Baby Kaia Brown; and his beloved canine companion, Lacie.
Felix graduated from John Harris High School as part of the class of 2011. He was a member of The Muscular Dystrophy Association. Felix had a passion for collectables, especially Transformers, Power Rangers and Hot Wheels. He also enjoyed playing video games and watching crime dramas and science fiction programs on television. Felix loved being with his family and he shared a very special bond with his twin brother, Manuel. He loved babies and doted on his young nephew, Julien, whom he lovingly called, "Monster". Felix's family will greatly miss his kind heart and will remember the appreciation he felt for all the care his mother so lovingly gave him.
All are welcome to join Felix's family at his viewing on Saturday, February 23, 2019, from 12:00 p.m. until time of service at 2:00 p.m. at Myers - Buhrig Funeral Home and Crematory, 37 East Main Street, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055; with Celebrant Patricia Vogl officiating. Felix's family invites everyone to join them for a Dutch treat reception at Hoss's Steak & Sea House, 61 Gettysburg Pike, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055, immediately following the service. Cremation was private.
The family sends their most heartfelt thanks to everyone that was part of Felix's life.
