Felix Salinas, 70, of Reidsville, passed away at his home on Monday, January 12, 2026, surrounded by his loved ones.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, January 15, 2026 at the Holy Infant Catholic Church with Father Nohe Torres officiating. Burial will follow in Reidlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Wilkerson Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 14th from 6:00 – 8:00 PM, including a prayer vigil.

Felix was born in San Luis Potosí, Mexico, and in 1979 he made North Carolina his home. He spent his life as a hardworking tobacco farmer, hog farmer, and construction worker, providing faithfully for his family through years. On weekends, Felix loved taking long road trips, enjoying the journey as much as the destination. He was known for his generosity and insisted on feeding everyone—and paying for it—no matter the occasion.

Felix cherished time with his family above all else, especially the precious moments spent with his grandchildren. When visiting his hometown in Mexico, he devoted his time to visiting friends and loved ones, reconnecting with everyone he could. A humble and deeply forgiving man, Felix had an unconditional love for others and lived with kindness at the center of his heart. He loved singing and listening to corridos music, which always brought him joy.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Santos Montero and Tomasa Salinas; daughter, Laura Cristina Salinas; and sister, Ciriaca Salinas.

He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Maria Salinas; sons, Ezekiel Salinas and Eleazar Salinas (Nancy) ; daughters, Ana Salinas and Juana Solorzano (Eligio); grandchildren, Julieta Sofia Salinas, Marcos Mateo Salinas, Gabriel Isaias Solorzano, and Cristian Rafael Solorzano; brothers, Anacleto and Emilio; sisters, Celerina, Elodia and Carmela.
