Felix Ysais

It is with profound sadness we announce the passing of Felix Eugene Ysais, a loving, adventurous, strong, fearless, passionate, determined, and reliable man who touched the hearts of many. Felix, born on October 26, 1946, in Glendale, CA, lived a fulfilling life of 78 years until his peaceful departure on September 18, 2025. An accomplished businessman, Felix owned and operated the successful C & Y Deli Market in Sun Valley, CA. Then later owned a non profit organization, Veterans Rare Earth Excu Inc.

in Lake Havasu City, Arizona, where he resided for 31 years.

Felix was a proud US Army Vietnam Veteran 66-68, earning numerous military awards that spoke volumes of his bravery and dedication. Nat'l Defense Svc Medal, Vietnam Svc Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Good Conduct Medal, Air Medal, Bronze Star Medal Combat Infantryman Badge.

He was a man of many skills from great cook to construction, masonry to carpentry, labor HOD carrier, to plastering, concrete and a concrete truck operator.

Aside from his professional accomplishments, Felix found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He was an avid deep-sea and lake fisherman who cherished those early morning fishing trips with family, friends and his son, Quinn. His love for hunting and shooting was another testament to his adventurous spirit. He was a proud member of many fishing groups thru out his lifetime and attended numerous fishing tournaments.

He was also a proud member of the VFW, American Legion, Marine Corps League, DAV and the First Calvary Association. He is remembered as a generous and reliable friend.

His devotion to his family was unmatched. In 1978, Felix met his beautiful wife, Rachel. Together, they built a ventursome life, they raised their children, Christina and Quinn, in the city of Lake Havasu. Where he taught them how to fish, target shooting, and spent many days together out on the lake! Felix was also a doting grandfather to Savannah, Zayden, and Jayce. His brother, Richard Ysais, survives him. He was preceded in death by his parents, Chris Ysais, Amelia Ysais (Negrete), and sister Lorraine Bowers (Ysais).

In the words of St. Augustine, "The world is a book and those who do not travel read only one page." Felix lived by this, embracing every adventure that came his way. He leaves behind a legacy of love, hard work, and courage. His huge giving heart and love for all outdoor adventures will be forever remembered.

Felix's final resting place will be at the San Fernando Mission Cemetery- Date pending.
