Felton Joseph Coleman entered eternal rest at West Jefferson Medical Center on Monday, March 24, 2025, at the age of 67. He was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Marrero, LA. Felton was educated in the Jefferson Parish School System. He was a former employee with Avondale Shipyard as a welder, and he later became a chef working with the Real Pie Man. Felton became a self-employed chef before his health began to decline. Devoted father of Kalisha (Torrey, Sr.,) Adams, and Camershia Williams. Bonus father of Samuel, Migile, Terrance, Karla, LaToryer, and Sawine Carter. Loving grandfather of David and Daquan Coleman, Gerald Holmes, and Jerren Smith. Great grandfather of Daliah Coleman. Son of the late Frank, Jr. and Audrey Coleman. Brother of Donald Coleman (Gilda Bates), Brenda Coleman, and Helen Struggs. Godfather of Monique Morris, also survived by 17 bonus grandchildren, 5 bonus great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Second Zion Baptist Church, and neighboring churches are invited to a Celebration of Life at Second Zion Baptist Church, 6520 Second Zion Ave. Marrero, LA on Friday, April 4, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. Bishop James Nelson Brown officiating Visitation will begin at 8:30 a.m. at the church.
