Fern Decker Obituary
Ms. Decker went to be with her Lord and Savior on October 1, 2023, in Athens.
Fern Olivia Decker was born November 20, 1934, in Cumberland, Oklahoma, the daughter of Cecil Pearce Barnes and Leatha (Kennedy) Barnes. She was a longtime member of the Fellowship Baptist Church of Athens and a dedicated homemaker. She spent her life taking care of her family and traveling with her husband.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Otis Elton Decker; seven brothers and two sisters.
She is survived by her two sons, Danny Decker and wife Laura of Ben Wheeler, Dennis Decker and wife Laura of Stafford, Virginia; three grandchildren, Christy Decker, Zachary Decker, Jessica Morris and husband David; eight great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
A visitation will be held prior to the service on Thursday from 10-11:00 a.m., at Hannigan Smith Funeral Home.
Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Hannigan Smith Funeral Home family.
