Wanda Darlene Blagburn, 88, of Athens, passed away on January 15, 2026, in Athens. She will be laid to rest during a private ceremony at Roselawn Memorial Park in Seagoville.

Mrs. Blagburn passed away on January 15, 2026, in Athens.

Wanda Darlene (Morgan) Blagburn was born on November 6, 1937, in Dallas, Texas, to Reuben Smiley Morgan and Dorothy Evona (Wymack) Morgan. She was a charter member of Calvary Baptist Church. A devoted homemaker, Wanda enjoyed crocheting, working in her yard, and took great pride in her St. Augustine grass. She dearly loved her family and played an important role in raising her special grandchildren, who affectionately called her "Granny."

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, J.P. Blagburn; two sons, Larry Blagburn and Rob Blagburn; and five siblings, Mary Helen Greenwalt, Reuben James Morgan, Jerry Glenn Morgan, Carolyn Elaine Lawson, and Charlie Blake Morgan.

Survivors include her son, Clint Blagburn and wife Laura; daughter-in-law, Danice Blagburn; siblings, Smiley Edwin Morgan and Malana June Singleton; grandchildren, Adam Blagburn and wife Jennifer, Gary Woody and wife Brooke, Dustin Blagburn, Elise Blagburn, Robert Blagburn, and Shani Harrod and husband Bubba; and great-grandchildren, Cooper Blagburn, Kaylee Blagburn, Alyssa Woody, Bennett Blagburn, Mara Blagburn, Rylee James, Laramie Blagburn, Daylie Harrod, Blayne Harrod and Brooklynn Laster.

A visitation will be held Thursday, January 22, 2026, from 8:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Hannigan Smith Funeral Home.

Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the Hannigan Smith Funeral Home family.
