Fernand Antoine Donadieu, Jr.
Fernand Antoine "Fad" Donadieu, Jr., age 82, passed away on July 15, 2023, surrounded by his loving family. He was a native of Gramercy and a resident of Houma, LA.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation at Annunziata Catholic Church on Saturday, July 22, 2023, beginning at 9:00 a.m. until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Francis Cemetery No. 2.
Fad is survived by his loving wife of 56 amazing years, Martha Labit Donadieu; children, Brian Donadieu and wife Nadine Dufrene Donadieu, Andree Donadieu Densmore and husband Tod Densmore, Kevin Donadieu and wife Laurie Arceneaux Donadieu, Mary Donadieu, and Ellen Donadieu Frederick and husband Ben Frederick; grandchildren, Robert Donadieu and wife Lauren Barry Donadieu, Patrick Donadieu, Elizabeth Donadieu Sessions, and Theresa Donadieu, Elaine, Audrey, and Gabriel Densmore, Natalie and Miriam Lovell, Joel, Claire, and Leah Frederick, and brother, Aime Donadieu.
Fad is preceded in death by his parents, Fernand Antoine Donadieu, Sr. and Leslie Marie Davis Donadieu; brother, Jean Donadieu II; infant brother, Joseph Donadieu; infant granddaughter Evangeline Elizabeth Sessions.
Fad was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and servant of God. He was a longtime parishioner of Annunziata Catholic Church. He also volunteered his time as a Eucharistic Minister at Church and for the homebound and with the St. Vincent de Paul Society. He enjoyed restoring old tractors and farm equipment. He proudly served in the National Guard and worked for Shell Oil Company until his retirement after forty years of service. Above all, he loved his grandchildren dearly and spending time with his family. Fad leaves a beautiful legacy behind and is reunited with his family who passed before him. He now rests in the arms of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Dear Mrs. Donadieu and family, please accept my sincere condolences at your time of loss. FAD and I were friends during our National Guard days and I remember him as a truly nice person. Perhaps you remember me. I am an old man now and reside in Temple, Texas.
