REMEMBERING MY BELOVED BROTHER

Fernando Patricio Alvarado Barra was born on July 20, 1987, at 12:00 PM at the German Hospital in Valparaíso, Chile. Son of Fernando and Patricia, brother of Claudia and Carola. Uncle of Catalina, Javiera, Martín, Josefa, and Julieta. Husband of Catherine and father of Isidora (Isi) and Maple (Mei), their beloved pets.
He attended the Sagrados Corazones (SSCC) Padres Franceses School in Valparaíso, where he excelled in languages, arts, and technology. He began his engineering studies at the Pontifical Catholic University of Valparaíso and completed his undergraduate degree in Business Administration at Piedmont College. He earned his Master's degree at Wake Forest University, always standing out as an excellent student.
Since childhood, he was intelligent, kind, calm, respectful, and very affectionate, while he also had an introverted and quiet demeanor. He loved soccer and video games, and was a passionate fan of Everton soccer club. His dream was to become a professional soccer player, and he was also self-taught in drawing and guitar. He was valued and respected by peers, colleagues, and friends. Those of us who had the privilege of being part of his life know that he was a man of few words but countless smiles. His kindness filled spaces and provided security. With his pure and generous soul, he always overflowed with love. He was a wonderful man and will continue to be in our hearts.
There are no words to honor you, much less to remember you, because you continue to live within us. The love you gave us strengthens us in these difficult times. You were, are, and will always be our "guatón," our cherished one.
