He was preceded in death by his mother, Shirley Edwards and his uncle, Keith Edwards.
After spending years fighting a host of health issues, Fernando, aged 67, passed away on Sunday, July 27, 2025 at his and his wife's home in Clifton, NJ.
Fernando was survived by his loving family, including his dedicated wife, Winsome Chang; his daughters, Ashley Chang, and Lindsey Moncada; his stepson, Jason Thompson; son-in-law, Ricciardo Moncada; his uncles, Colin Edwards, Arnold Edwards Jr., and Vernon Edwards. He was also a loved nephew to Sheila Carty. He also leaves behind many cousins: Ayoka, Anika, Fayola, Nneka, Howard Jr., Marka, Switswena, and his grandfather, Arnold Edwards Sr.
He has left a legacy through his grandchild, Luca Moncada.
