Mr. Fernando Gonzalez, 74, has completed his journey and mission on Earth and transcended into his next journey on October 28, 2023, in Laredo, Texas.

Cpl. Served 3rd 8 Howitzer Battery, 11th Marines, 1st Marine Divion Vietnam War 1969-1971   Preceded in death by: His mother Alejandra Gonzalez Garza. His brothers-in-law Bateman Boake Lacey, Jesus Sepulveda and Mario Hernandez.    Survived by: his children Carla Gonzalez, Rindlisnbacher (Rolf), Fernando Gonzalez Jr. and our mother and his friend Veronica Olivares Tawil.  His beautiful grandchildren Karla Camila Villegas and Nathan Gonzalez. His siblings Araceli Hernandez, Alicia Perez, Gerardo Gonzalez (Chon Russell-Gonzalez) and Adriana G. Castillo.  His nieces and nephews Michelle Lacey, Devin Lacey, Carlos Sepulveda, Jesus Sepulveda, Ana Gabriela Medina, Mario Hernandez, Lisa Marie Hernandez, Raul Perez, Efrain Perez,  Karina Perez, Emilio Gonzalez, Alejandro Gonzalez, Aby Castillo, Irene Castillo-Flores, Jesus (Chuy) Castillo and many other cousins, great nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, November 11, 2023, from 10 am to 12 noon at Hillside Funerals & Cremations.

Procession will depart the chapel at 12:15 pm to the Hero's Hall at the Laredo City Cemetery, where Military Honors will; be rendered by the Laredo Veteran's Honor Guard and the United States Marine Corps Honor Guard-Flag Detail team.

His services will conclude after the rendering of Military Honors.
