Ferne McCauley Obituary
Ferne was born to the late Rusha (Childers) and Benny Garner in Monticello, KY. She was a retired paralegal.
She was preceded in death by her parents, 1st husband, Gene Thurston, and her 2nd husband, Patrick McCauley.
Ferne is survived by her children, David Thurston (Adi), Kanda Pfaadt (David), and Tonya Oliver (Wally); siblings, Tony (Carolyn), Ricky, Janie, and Mitzie; grandchildren, Amy (Jordan), Laura (Brian), Kelly (Claude), Michael, Katie (Brennen), and Hunter (Michaela), and 9 great-grandchildren.
Her funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, December 11, 2025, at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway, with burial at Louisville Memorial Gardens West.
Visitation will be from 2:00 – 7:00 p.m. Wednesday at Owen Funeral Home.
