Ferrell Hinton Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by North Dallas Funeral Home & Cremation Services on Apr. 8, 2025.
Ferrell Lea Walker Hinton, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great grandmother, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 6, 2025 in Allen, Texas at the age of 90. She was a woman of unwavering faith, love and strength, and her memory will forever be etched in our hearts.
Ferrell Lea was born in Cleburne, Texas on February 12, 1935, to Ferrell Lockman Walker and Lea Berry Walker. She spent her youth growing up in Cleburne before marrying the love of her life Julian Jay Hinton while she was still in high school. In 1953, she embarked on motherhood and would go on to raise three boys and one girl in Richardson. She loved (and excelled in) the many years she spent in the antique business with her husband, and later in life, really enjoyed playing Rummy Cube and games with her many friends at Atria Canyon Creek.
While we will forever be grateful for the time we had with Ferrell, we find comfort in knowing she is finally at peace with her Lord and Savior and reunited with her beloved husband and her beloved son.
Ferrell is survived by her three children: Steve Hinton (Sandy) of Plano, Susan Mackey (Terry) of Richardson and Robert Hinton (Lariann), of Lucas; Grandchildren: Michael Hinton (Meredith) of Dallas, Jamie Wiseman (Glenn) of Little Elm, Andrew Hinton (Annika) of Allen, Erin Caldwell (Josh) of Combine, Curtis Spraggins (Whitney) of Copper Canyon, Drew Hinton of Lucas and Blake Hinton of Lucas; many great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Ferrell was proceeded in death by her parents, her sister, her son Mike and her beloved husband Jay.
