Ferris "Elbert" Brisson

Ferris “Elbert” Brisson, 72, of Bladenboro passed away on Wednesday, December 13, 2023 while at Elizabethtown Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Elizabethtown. He was born on September 5, 1951 in Robeson County to the late Dillon Brisson and Thelma Guyton Brisson.

 

Left to cherish his memory is his beloved wife, Hazel Walters Brisson of the home, son Walter Hester (Peggy) of Bladenboro, daughter Ledena Ward (James) of Bladenboro, two brothers Thomas Brisson (Betsy) and Ellis Brisson (Geneva) both of Bladenboro, and three grandchildren Christopher Ward, Jordan Hester and Reagan Hester.

 

Elbert adored his family and his church family at Northside Baptist Church in Bladenboro. He enjoyed working on different projects at the church and maintaining the family rental properties. When not working on a project, he loved to spend time with the family, going hunting and taking trips to the beach. Elbert was a gentle man with a big heart. He will be dearly missed.

 

The family will receive friends from 4-6 pm on Sunday, December 17, 2023 at Bladen Gaskins Funeral Home in Elizabethtown. A funeral service will be held on Monday, December 18, 2023 at 2:00 pm at the Northside Baptist Church in Bladenboro with Russell Benson officiating. Burial will follow the services in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Bladenboro.
