Fidel Lopez, 80, passed away on July 24, 2025. He was born in Ojo Sarco, NM. He resided in Chamisal, NM for 45 years.
Fidel is survived by his wife, Josephine Apodaca Lopez of 61 years, children; Kelvin Lopez, Mary Lou and husband Federico Sanchez, Fabian and wife Lori Lopez, Antoinette and husband Adrian Gonzales, grandchildren; Athena, Chantel, Chenoa, Anja, Mary, Adrian II, and Alexander, great-grandchildren; Delilah, Ares, Reyes, Scarlet Rae, Xavier, and Neveah+.
Fidel is preceded in death his parents; Fidel and Aguida (Leyba) Lopez, siblings; Nick Lopez, Ruth Montoya, Lydia Sanchez, Bennie Macarenas, Alden Lopez, Dennis Lopez, Percina Arellano, and survived by Becky Garcia.
Fidel loved listening to music, playing his guitar, singing and dancing with his wife. He was always smiling and was known for his laughter. He also loved spending time at the Casino, outdoors, and fixing things without instructions.
He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
A rosary will be held on August 6, 2025, at 7PM at San Antonio De Padua Church in Peñasco. A mass will be held the following day at 11AM.
