Fidel A. Naranjo

My dad, Fidel A. Naranjo, 73, of Houston, TX passed away July 23, 2022. He was born to Miguel and Tomasa Naranjo in Taft, TX.
He was the fourth child of fourteen. He was an excellent student who excelled all the way through in the San Patricio School District, graduating in 1969. He would enlist to serve proudly in our U.S. Army (Vietnam). After serving both tours he returned back to his home in South Texas. Shortly after he moved up North to the State of Minnesota for a brief time. He then moved to Houston and made it his final home. He was a proud Houstonian and Oilers fan. He'd say "we're not traitors" "we're Houston strong" and made it known! But most of all he was my dad. He was loving, caring and understanding. He made the impossible always possible and never frowned. He loved his grandchildren very much and unconditionally. They were his heart and soul and for that he'll deeply be missed. Love you dad. Fidel is preceded in death by his Father, Miguel Zaragoza Naranjo, Sister, Herminia Naranjo Tijerina, Sister, Elisa Naranjo Saldana, Mother, Tomasa A. Naranjo.
He is survived by his beloved family which includes his Daughter, Brenda Lee Gonzalez; Son-in-law, Juan A. Gonzalez; Grandson, Ranferi Elias Arizaga, Granddaughters, Raevyn Elissa Arizaga, Julliana Alenah Villarreal, Jovitte A. Gonzalez; Grandson, John A. Gonzalez; Daughter, Tara Schultz Lanin; Son-in-law, Michael Lanin; Grandson, Dylan Pudwill; Son, Peter Ryan Forney; Daughter-in-law, Krystin M. Forney; Granddaughter Gracelyn Joy Forney; Six Sisters, Aurora Martinez, Lucia Carrera (Agapito), Adelfa Moreno, Delia Jaime (Luis), Elvira "Vingie" Esquivel, Elva Tamez; Five Brothers, Felix Naranjo, Miguel Zaragoza, Jr., Tomas Naranjo, Adolfo Naranjo, Arturo Naranjo.
Visitation will be held Friday, August 5, 2022, 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Felix H. Morales Funeral Home, Houston, Texas.
An Inurnment will take place on Friday, August 12, 2022, 11:15 am at the Houston National Cemetery located at 10410 Veterans Memorial Drive Houston, TX 77038.
