Robert Naranjo Obituary

Visit the Daniels Family Funeral Services - Carlisle Chapel website to view the full obituary.

Robert Selso Naranjo (Bob / Bobby), 75, of Albuquerque fell asleep in death on October 01, 2025. His favorite scripture Psalm 63:3 “Because your loyal love is better than life. My own lips will glorify you.”

Robert Selso Naranjo was born on May 23,1950 in Cheyenne Wyoming to Selso and Terecita Naranjo. Robert was raised in Pierce, Colorado. He married the love of his life, Rachel Rodriguez in Greeley, Colorado. They were soon to celebrate their 58th wedding anniversary. Together, they raised their family in Colorado and moved to Albuquerque in 1987.

A devoted Jehovah's Witness, Robert faithfully served Jehovah for 51 years. He attended the Albuquerque Volcano View Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses where he served as an elder and regular pioneer.

He lived his life fully committed to praising and bringing honor to his Creator. He was an elder for 45 years. After retiring from his career as a truck driver, he entered the Full Time Ministry. His unwavering faith inspired many. He took a personal interest in the young and old. He impacted lives by teaching them to come to know Jehovah.

Robert loved his family. He was a beloved Husband to Rachel and a loving Dad to Susan, Lynette and Benjamin. He had special individual relationships with each of his grandchildren. He cared deeply for his family in Colorado.

Some of his favorite music was Buddy Holly songs and watching westerns. He enjoyed the outdoors, camping, dancing, and became quite the artist with his tin-men creations. All who knew Robert will smile and chuckle when they think of his silly sense of humor.

Robert is preceded in death by Selso and Terecita Naranjo (parents), William Naranjo, Charlie Naranjo (brothers), Margaret Padilla, Sadie Garcia (sisters).

Robert Naranjo is survived by his wife, Rachel Naranjo; their children, Susan Naranjo, Lynette Naranjo-Turpen (Shane) and Benjamin S. Naranjo (Ava); Grandchildren; Robert Donovan Turpen (Kayla), Abrian J Naranjo, Benjamin S Naranjo Jr, Myah Raquel Naranjo, Quiana Naranjo and Alejandra Naranjo, Sisters and Brothers; Gomecinda Garcia, Rose Naranjo, Lilian Rodriguez, Herman Naranjo (Rosa), Leo Naranjo (Janie), Joanne Ochoa (Art) and Nick Naranjo (Luana).

A memorial service will be held on October 18, 2025, at 5:00pm at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses at 8600 Los Volcanes Rd NW Albuquerque, NM 87121. A reception will follow at 7:00pm at Diamond Event Center located at 312 Florida Rd SE Albuquerque, NM 87108. The family would find it encouraging if you would please join. We find comfort in the Bible's promise of a resurrection with everlasting life in paradise.
