Dolores Naranjo Obituary

Published by Legacy on Oct. 1, 2025.
Dolores Ann Naranjo, age 85, went home to be with the Lord on August 30, 2025 at Memorial Hospital in Owosso, Michigan.
Dolores was born to Charles Conroy and Beatrice Carpenter on August 31, 1939 in Gaines, Michigan. Dolores went to Morrice Area Schools, where she met her high school sweetheart Filbert Naranjo. They got married on June 29, 1957, and later raised their 5 children Michael, Julie, Alan, Lisa, and Craig in Bancroft, Michigan.
After Filbert passed away in 1985, Dolores went back to school at Ross Medical Center to become a medical assistant. She was top in her class and awarded valedictorian. She worked her way up to becoming an office manager at St. Lawrence and later at Gardner Wellness Center. After retiring from St. Lawrence, she became the church secretary at Immanuel Baptist Church. She was a faithful member there for almost 30 years.
Dolores' pride and joy was her family. She had such a servant's heart always making sure everyone was taken care of at family get togethers before she even took her first bite. She was often told to sit down and relax.
Dolores is survived by children, Michael Naranjo, Julie Naranjo, Alan Naranjo, Sr., Lisa (Jeffrey Sr) Hines, and Craig (Rebecca) Naranjo; grandchildren, Jessica Alana, Jennifer (Matthew) Leslie, Melissa (Joshua) LaRue, Tiffany (Robert) Hanson, Alan Naranjo, Jr., Jeffrey Hines, Adam (Emily) Hines, Joshua (Candance) Hines, Joel (Gloria) Hines, Hannah Hines and Andrew Naranjo and 22 great grandchildren. Sisters, Janlee Sanders and Cynthia Wilson, and brother Gregory Wilson.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Filbert Naranjo, parents Charles Conroy and Beatrice Wilson, along with daughter-in-law Cathy Naranjo
Graveside service will be held on Saturday, September 6, 2025 at 2:00pm at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
