Filippo Scuderi Obituary

Filippo came to the United States in 1970, settling in Bronx, NY. He was employed as a carpenter with Local 608, now 157 in New York City. Filippo enjoyed gardening and making his own wine.
On October 30, 1977 he married Manuela Maldonado and in 1999 they relocated to Putnam Valley along with their sons, Philip and John. Sadly, Manuela passed away on January 26 of this year.
He is survived by his sons, Philip and wife, Danielle of Mahopac, NY and John and wife, Eliza of Stormville, NY; his brother, Agadino of the Bronx and his sisters, Venera Guerra and Santina Scuderi, both of Yonkers, NY as well as his five beloved grandchildren, Philip, Victoria, Giovanni, Francesca and Nicholas.
Visiting will be held on Sunday, September 7 from 1-5 pm at Joseph J. Smith Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, September 8 at 10 am at St. James the Apostle Church in Carmel with entombment to follow at Rose Hills Memorial Park, Putnam Valley.
