Fiore Joseph Mazzanti

Fiore J. (Joe) Mazzanti, age 97, passed away November 15, 2023. He is survived by his wife, Judy; a son, Shawn (Sandra) Barrett of Brandon, MS; a daughter, Shannon Hughes of Little Rock, AR; a grandson, Clayton Barrett of Quincy, IL; additional survivors are a sister, Catherine Talbot of Little Rock, AR and one brother, Frank Mazzanti of Crossett, AR; sisters-in-law, Harriette Mazzanti of Little Rock, AR, and Kathy Mazzanti of Tyron, N.C.; along with an abundance of nieces, nephews, and their families.
Fiore was proceeded in death by his parents, Henry and Mary; a son, Tim; sisters, Rose Kellerman and Gloria Morara; and brothers, Robert (Bob), Ned, Victor (Vic), Aldo (Al), Eugene (Gene), Joseph (Joe), Henry (Junior), and Paul.
Fiore Served in World War II aboard the USS Massachusetts. Upon leaving the service, he worked for Barton's in Lake Village, leaving there after several years to become co-owner of Al's Truck Stop. After he and his brother Al sold Al's Truck Stop, Fiore opened Lakeside Realty, where he worked as a real estate broker and appraiser. He served as Chicot County Veterans Service Officer for twelve years prior to his retirement.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church or Arkansas Childrens Hospital.
