He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Ruthie Mae Tabson; and his two sons, Joe Willie Tabson Jr. and Tracy Tabson.
Joe is survived by his daughters, Marshay Bell and Diane Keith (John) both of Eudora, AR, Vera McJoy (Ceante) of Lake Village, AR, Rinda Collins (Calester) of Hutto, TX, Linda Downs of Little Rock, AR; his sons, Jimmy Downs of Lake Village, AR, Timmy Downs of Hamburg, AR, Earnest Downs both of Little Rock, AR; his granddaughter, Amber Harris (Keywand) of Lake Village, AR; and his great-grandson, Keveon Harris of Lake Village, AR.
Pallbearers are Jimmy Downs, Timmy Downs, Jeson Hester, Damien Ashford, Johnny Ashford, and Dezury Ashford. Honorary pallbearers are family members.
Visitation will be held on August 8, 2025 at 12 P.M. to 5 P.M. at the Bishop-King Funeral Home. Services will be held on August 9, 2025, at 1 P.M. at the Bishop-King Funeral Home with Elder Sedrick Webb officiating followed by a burial at the Zion Hill cemetery in Parkdale. Repast will be held at EL Carter Fellowship Hall, 518 St. Mary Street Lake Village, AR 71653
