Flora Woodson Bolt, age 95, born September 18, 1930, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on October 26, 2025. She was the daughter of Joseph Wallace Woodson and Margie Mable Southall Woodson Manis. She was the wife of Hasten Ray Bolt. She was preceded in death by her son, Dale Lee Bolt. She is survived by her sons, Douglas Bolt (Betty Jean), Steve Bolt (Sharon), and Kyle Bolt (Jennifer), as well her daughter-in-law, Judy Bolt. She is survived by 8 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brothers Rev. Robert Lee Woodson, Rev. Cortney Merrill Woodson, and Wallace Garland Woodson, as well as her sisters Jean Woodson Thompson James and Katherine Woodson.

Mrs. Bolt graduated from Farmville High School in 1948, attending 5 years without missing a single day. She was chairperson for many years, organizing the class reunions.

Mrs. Bolt has always been very active in her church, Appomattox Prince Edward Presbyterian. She taught Sunday School class for the majority of her life starting at age 14. Flora was a retired cosmetologist. She started her training before graduating from Farmville High School. She was a stay-at-home mom raising her family of boys and operating her own beauty shop, “Boltwood” in her home from 1963 until 2008. She was President of the Suburban Cosmetologist Association for several years being on the Virginia State Board.

Mrs. Bolt had many hobbies including genealogy, amateur photography, and making photo albums for family and friends.

She was active in the United Daughters of the Confederacy, holding the office of Historian and Corresponding Secretary. She also belonged to the Farmville Prince Edward Historical Society, Buckingham Friends of the Library, Curdsville Community Center, Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary, and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary.

Heaven has received a faithful servant of God.

Visitation will be held Friday, October 31, 2025, from 10am-11am at Puckett Funeral Home in Farmville, VA. Funeral service to follow. Interment at Trinity Memorial Gardens.
