Flora Cyntrella Franklin Fray was born on July 14, 1974, in Ocala, Florida, to the late Cynthia Alexander and Bernard Franklin. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Brenda Franklin.

Flora was raised in Weirsdale, Florida, and graduated from Lake Weir High School in 1992. From an early age, she had a heart to serve others, and she faithfully followed that calling throughout her life. She began her career in the medical field in 1996 as a medical assistant and later pursued her dream of becoming a nurse. In 2008, she proudly graduated from Lake Technical College as a Licensed Practical Nurse. She served with compassion and excellence, most recently working at the VA in The Villages, Florida, from 2013 to 2020.

Flora's life was marked by her love for God, her family, and her community. She was a devoted mother, daughter, sister, and friend who touched countless lives with her caring spirit, strength, and unwavering faith.

She leaves to cherish her memory: her loving children, Tasheona Dowdy and Tyreese Fray, and her stepson, Derris Fray Jr.; her siblings, Kenya Franklin, Brittany George (Keithroy), and Bernard Franklin Jr.; along with a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and dear friends.

Though her earthly journey has ended, Flora's legacy of faith, love, and service lives on in all who knew her. We rejoice in knowing that she is now resting in the arms of her Savior, reunited with her loved ones who have gone before her.
