Flora Fietkau Jacobson, 91, of Springville, Utah passed away peacefully August 23, 2023, with her daughters by her side. Flora was born in Roosevelt, Utah on April 29, 1932, to Reed and Bessie Horrocks Fietkau. She married Ralph Bateman Jacobson on June 18, 1957, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.
Flora moved to Springville in 1942, graduating from Springville High School and went on to attend classes at Brigham Young University. While Flora worked various jobs throughout her life, her true life work was loving and serving those who were lucky enough to know her. Flora was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served faithfully in numerous callings. Her faith was the foundation of her life and a great source of strength and peace.
Flora was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and sister, Doris (Les) Harper. She is survived by her daughters: Diane Jacobson and Susan (Anthony) Miller; two grandchildren: Nelson (Jaydon Carling) Miller and Rachel Miller; sisters: LaRae (Robert) Crandall and Kathy (Jon) Winget; brother: Ben (Maryann) Fietkau; and daughter by choice: Patricia Jackson.
The family would like to express their deepest heartfelt love, appreciation and gratitude for all those who have so lovingly helped care for Flora.
A viewing for friends and family will be held on Wednesday, August 30, 2023 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Wheeler Mortuary, 211 East 200 South in Springville. Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 31, 2023 at 11:00 in the church at 355 East Center Street in Springville with a viewing from 9:30 to 10:30 prior to the services. Burial will be in the Springville Evergreen Cemetery.
