Flora King Obituary
Flora Joan King, age 64 years, of Stearns, Kentucky died Thursday, October 9, 2025 at the Jean Waddle Care Center in Somerset, Kentucky.
She was born in McCreary County, Kentucky on February 26, 1961 the daughter of the late Dewitt Floyd and Myrtle (Sammons) Strunk. Flora had worked as a machine operator and was of the Church of God Faith.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brothers, Tommy Ray Strunk and Johnnie Harold Strunk; and sisters, Edna June Strunk and Loretta Sue Strunk.
Survivors include her children, Zachary Prewitt of Stearns, Kentucky, Charles Prewitt (Rita) of Liberty, Kentucky, Michael Prewitt (Delia) of Oneida, Tennessee, and Alicia Prewitt of Stearns, Kentucky; brothers, Billy Don Strunk (Rita) of Somerset, Kentucky, Jerry Lee Strunk of Stearns, Kentucky, John Andrew Strunk (Robin) of Whitley City, Kentucky; and Dewitt Strunk, Jr. (Sherri) of Stearns, Kentucky; and grandchildren, Sarah Wilson, Eli Ferguson, Lilly Prewitt, and Kylie Prewitt.
In keeping with her wish’s cremation was chosen, and a Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
McCreary County Funeral Home entrusted with the arrangements.
