Flora Mae Tift

Tift, Flora Mae of Flushing, age 91, died Thursday, March 20, 2025, at her home. Funeral services will be 12 Noon Friday, March 28, 2025. Burial will follow at Cook Episcopal Cemetery. Visitation will be 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home until the time of the service at 12 Noon. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to The Care Team Home Health & Hospice.
Flora was born in West Virginia on June 22, 1933, the daughter of George and Reva (Wise) Miller and moved to Saginaw, Michigan. Flora married Elmer Tift and together they raised five children. He preceded her in death on June 17, 1990. Flora ran an in-home tax preparation service for many years, as well as working in retail and as a secretary. She was an avid reader of the Bible, often quoting her favorite scriptures, she always kept up with current local and world events and was a devoted mother and grandmother.
Flora is survived by her children, Cheryl Zeeb, Steven Tift, Patrick (Debra) Tift, James Tift, Daniel Tift; stepchildren, Roger (Bonnie) Tift, Sue (Charles) Aikens, Robert (Carol) Tift, Letha (Norm) Schramm; 11 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, many step-grandchildren and step great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer; son-in-law, Thomas Zeeb; stepdaughter Lenore Schramm, and siblings, Phyllis Brocker, Charlotte Raths, and David Miller.
