Florabelle “Flo” Blanch Jennings January 6, 1934 – September 7, 2025

Florabelle (Flo) Blanch Jennings went to be with the Lord on Sunday, September 7, 2025, at the age of 91.

Born in Giatto, West Virginia on January 6, 1934, Flo was a woman of grit, heart, and humor. She faced life with strength, sass, and a love that ran deep for her family and friends. She was known for her famous biscuits and gravy. Whether she was offering a quick-witted comeback or a warm hug, Flo was the kind of woman who made a lasting impression wherever she went.

Flo was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Jennings; her sons Bobby Jennings (and his wife, Debbie) and Michael Jennings; her daughter, Connie Haynes; and her great-grandson, Jesse Long.

She is survived by her devoted companion of more than 45 years, Joe Vasvary; her son Donnie Jennings and wife Donna of Canton, GA; her son Randy Jennings and wife Susan of Athens, WV; and her daughter-in-law Kathy Jennings of Stafford, VA and son in law Maynard Haynes of Ferrum, VA.

Flo was the proud grandmother of:

Joey Jennings, Daniel Jennings (Sandra), Julie Jennings, and Jason Jennings

Misty Weslowski (Larry), Laura Littlefield (Chris), Shannon Jennings (Veronica)

Mona Haynes (Melissa), Debra Guill, and Kevin Haynes

Philip Jennings (Maria) and Derick Jennings (Crystal)

Keri Cox (Jimmy), Kristin May (Eddie), Kim Yahya (Jermy), and Kathryn Derwent (John)

She also leaves behind 30 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren — all of whom carry a piece of her strength and spark.

A visitation will be held on Friday, September 12, 2025, from 1:00 to 2:00 PM at Craven-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell, WV.The funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM, led by longtime family friend Williard Ramsey.

Pallbearers will be Philip Jennings, Derick Jennings, Shannon Jennings, Jason Jennings, Kevin Haynes, Jimmy Cox, Eddie May, Jermy Yahya, and John Derwent.

Honorary Pallbearers are “Her Car Lot Gang”: Lou Weikle, Frankie Brady, Will Webster, Alford Wright, Fred Smith, and Richard Linkous — lifelong friends who shared countless laughs, stories, and coffee over the years.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the nurses and staff at Compasses for the care, compassion, and dignity they provided Flo in her final days. Your kindness meant more than words can say.

Flo’s spirit lives on in the laughter of her family, the stories we’ll never stop telling, and the deep love she gave so freely. She will be deeply missed, always remembered, and forever loved.
