Florence Bachrach

Beloved matriarch, Florence Bachrach of Maynard, MA passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 25, 2022, at the age of 88. She was the loving wife of the late David Bachrach; they married on October 10, 1954 and enjoyed 47 wonderful years together. Florence ("Itzie") will be remembered for her loving heart, devotion to her family, her forever bright and cheerful personality and passion for living. Florence was born in Maynard, on April 12, 1933; she was the daughter of the late William and Catherine (Wilder) Hansen. She was raised in Maynard and graduated from Maynard High School in 1951. Florence resided in Maynard for most of her life and loved spending time in her beautiful flower gardens. She was an avid birder who also enjoyed knitting, arts and crafts and trips and adventures with her family and the "Golden Girls." Florence is survived by her children, Esther Bachrach of Worcester, MA; Barry Bachrach of Leicester, MA; Bill Bachrach of Yardley, PA; Bert Bachrach of Columbia, MO; her 3 daughters-in-law; her 10 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her siblings Dorothy Fisher, Virginia Hansen, Barbara Nelson, Rose Lind and Donald Hansen. Her Funeral Service will be celebrated on Monday, January 31, 2022, at 11:30 am in Congregation Beth Elohim, 133 Prospect Street, Acton, MA 01720. Burial will follow at Glenwood Cemetery, Maynard. Those interested in attending the service must be fully vaccinated and wear a properly fitted mask.
