Florence Eleanor Baskin

Florence Eleanor Baskin, 62, of Piketon, Ohio took the hand of Jesus and entered into her Heavenly home 10:34 a.m. Tuesday, August 26, 2025, at The James Cancer Research Center, Columbus, Ohio.

Florence was born June 6, 1963, in Columbus, Ohio, the daughter of the late Edward William White and Diane (Woodard) Messer. On May 24, 1998, she was united in marriage to Larry Baskin who preceded her in death January 29, 2018.

She is survived by six sons, Leland Garett, Ernie (Elizabeth) White, Bruce (Megan) White, Michael (Charity) White, Christopher (Jennifer) White, and Larry (Sarah) White; sixteen grandchildren, Tywon, Tyrich, Faith; Alex, E.J, Matthew, Cheyenne, Sawyer, Mason; Shaylyn, Ashton; Bryce, Bailey; Hunter, Morgan, and Colton; a great grandchild, Brodie; three sisters, Virginia Fish, Margaret Decker, and Lori (Tedd) Purdin; and a brother, Eddie White.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and a sister, Carolyn Messer.

Florence was a homemaker as well as an avid supporter of Latham Christian Union Church.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 2, 2025, at Boyer Funeral Home, Waverly, Ohio. Burial will follow at East Cemetery, Latham, Ohio.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until the beginning of the service on Tuesday.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Boyer Funeral Home to help with funeral expenses.
