Obituary published on Legacy.com by Meldrum Mortuary & Crematory - Mesa on Aug. 1, 2022.
It breaks our hearts to announce that Florence Alice Gates 81 of Salt River, Arizona our mother,
grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend went to be with the Lord July 27, 2022.
She fought a long battle in the hospital and as hard as we prayed for her to be well again the Lord had
other plans for her, she was surrounded by her loving family as she made her journey.
Florence valued her relationship with God first and foremost as well as her relationship with family and
friends, she always talked about her daughters being there for one another and keeping the family
together, she enjoyed spending her days with family especially her grandchildren. She had many lifelong
friends that eventually became part of an extended family.
Florence had a key saying which was used daily with whom all she encountered which was when telling
her we loved her, her response was "I love you more"
Her family will always remember this saying as it was truly heartfelt each time it was said.

Sammy and Nellie Hernandez, her siblings Lawrence Hernandez and Leota Hogan.
She is survived by her sisters Esther Moyah and Marie Jordan along with her daughters Lynette Aguilar

2 Timothy 4:7-8
I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.
Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord the righteous Judge, will award
to me on that day and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing.
