Florence M. Johnson, Monroeton, Pa, known to her family and friends as "Florrie" or "Flo" lost her battle with cancer and passed away, surrounded by family and friends on August 7, 2025. Florrie married George A. Johnson, Sr. on December 23, 1988 and she will now join her beloved husband, who died on May 3, 2025, in everlasting life.

Florrie was born in Troy, Pa, on January 6, 1960, to Robert H. and Florence E. Stoudt, being the next youngest of 7 children. (She would always say that she was older than her twin brother, Larry.)

Florrie graduated from Towanda High School in 1978, and worked at several occupations thereafter until she became disabled. Her career included seamstress in local sewing factories; Adecco at DuPont; Stoudt Canvas Products and the Starlite Bowling Alley. In her spare time, Florrie sewed clothing for her beloved grandchildren and many friends and family were recipients of her crocheted doilies. She was also an avid reader and possessed many, many books. Florrie and George bowled on teams for years and she received a Certificate of Achievement for 11 in a row-295 games. She and her husband spent their summers as seasonal campers at Larnard-Hornbrook Park, enjoying times around the campfires with their very good friends there.

Florence is survived by her children Todd Pierce (Kim); George Johnson, Jr (Heather) and Tanya Johnson (Jamane). Her legacy will continue through her ten grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews, and her siblings Robert H. Stoudt, Jr. (Patti); Bonnie Johnson (Bill); Sue Sites (Paul); Mary Lou Vanderpool (Gene) and Larry Stoudt (Diane).

Predeceased by her husband, George; parents, Bob and Flo (Strouse) Stoudt; her in-laws Harry and Mary (Potter) Johnson; husband Barry Dunbar and brother, Irvin J. Stoudt; Florrie leaves behind many memories of a life well-lived.

Florrie was very outgoing and loved to talk to people. In fact, sometimes she would actually follow you to your car and continue the conversation instead of letting you leave.

Florrie and George were active members of the Franklindale Christian Fellowship Church, were always willing to lend a hand and very much enjoyed the luncheons and fellowship with her church family.

Florrie was so grateful to her son, George, Jr., daughter-in-law, Heather, special friend, Libby, others at the campground and church family for caring for her at the end of her journey. A graveside service will be held at the Bradford County Memorial Park on Monday, August 25, 2025, at 11:00 a.m., at which time, George, Florence and their beloved pup, Holly, will be committed to God's eternal care. Florrie has requested that her pastor, Pastor Lindon Lundy conduct the service.

Those who wish may give a gift in her memory to Guthrie Hospice, 421 Tomahawk Road, Towanda, PA 18848; the Franklindale Christian Fellowship Church, State Route 414, Monroeton, PA 18832 or the Bradford County Humane Society, PO Box 179, Ulster, PA 18850.O Box 179, Ulster, PA
