Florence M Knapp

Florence M. Knapp, 100, of Pierpont, passed away Saturday, November 16, 2024 at Andover Village Nursing Home. She was born October 15, 1924 in Denmark, Ohio the daughter of the late Kay and Frances (Leonard) Burdick. A lifelong area resident, she married the love of her life Donald Knapp on April 23, 1943. Florence enjoyed being active and getting together with family and friends. She was and excellent cook and baker and always loved making family dinners for the holidays. Florence could often be found treasure hunting at garage sales and flea markets. She is survived by her children, Shirley Lahner and Roger (Nancy) Knapp; grandchildren, David (Nancy) Lahner, Donna (Dennis Platz) Swezey, Nathan Knapp, and Devon (Dennis) Knapp; great-grandchildren, Samantha (Andy) Senica, Bryan (Michaela) Swezey, Matthew Lahner, and Brooklyn and Miles Knapp; and two great-great-grandchildren, Lainey and Coralye Senica; dear friend and neighbor, Debbie Frederick; as well as several nieces and nephews. Florence was preceded in death by her husband Donald in 1985; brothers, Lawrence and Donald Burdick; son-in-law, Larry Lahner; and her parents. Private family services will be held and she will be laid to rest with her husband at Evergreen Cemetery in Pierpont.
