Florence "Flo" May Gomez Yetman

Florence May Gomez, affectionately known as Flo, age 97, of Bordentown, formerly of Mt. Laurel and Willingboro, passed away peacefully on February 21, 2023. Flo was born on July 4th, 1925, to the late Blanche and George Yetman in Blasdell, NY and was one of 11 brothers and sisters. She married Louis G. Gomez, a U.S. Naval Pilot, and together they raised four daughters and traveled the world. The family lived in Hawaii for several years, from which Flo had many fond memories. She was a loving woman who dedicated her life to her family.
Flo was a longtime resident of the Renaissance Club of Mt. Laurel and cherished the friendships she made while living there. She loved to spend time on her balcony soaking up the sun or chatting with her neighbors. Flo was a selfless and generous person who wanted to help anyone that she could. She loved to strike up conversations with people wherever she went and she especially loved to say hi to babies and children. Flo was very strong in her faith and was a member of the Masonville-Rancocas United Methodist Church. She made many friends there and loved to participate in their various activities, like the spaghetti dinner.
In addition to her parents and husband, Flo is predeceased by her sisters Betty (Larry) Masocco, Mary Tomaka, and Linda Burns; and brothers Kenneth, William (Dolores), Charles (Lovey), Thomas (Carol) and Robert Yetman. She is survived by her children, Linda Brewer (late Clay), Beverly Gonczar (Jeffrey), Anita Sepessy (late Michael) and Wendy Schmidt (Alex); grandchildren Penny (Jon), Brenda (Mark), Malia (Brian), Karson (Kyle), Parker (Tony), Reed (Patrick), and Carly (Alex); great-grandchildren Brad, Lisa, Clayton, Eric, Leila, Liliana, Luke, Micah, Ellie, Arlo and 2 more soon to be born; brothers Harvey and Ed (Linda) Yetman; and many nieces, nephews and dear friends.
Services will be private & scheduled at a later time; we all know how Flo preferred the warmer weather. While we will miss our mom, grandmother and friend dearly, her memory will live on in our hearts forever.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Flo's name to The Michael J. Fox Foundation or Smile Train, two organizations that were close to Flo's heart and that she supported for many years.
