Gerald Pacella

Gerald Pacella, 79, of Moorestown, New Jersey, passed away on June 11, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.
Born and raised in Niagara Falls, New York, to the late Gerald M. and Doris L. (nee Hollinger) Pacella, Gerald was a graduate of Susquehanah University. He proudly served in the United States Army Reserves during the Vietnam War. Gerald was a resident of Moorestown for over 30 years and prior to retiring in 1994, was President of First Fidelity Bank and continued to do some consulting. Gerald wasn't the type to stay idle in retirement which led to him creating The Essex Group, a construction and real estate development company.
A selfless and stoic gentleman, Gerald was humble, outgoing and made friends easily. He was devoted to his family and nothing made him happier than spending time with them. A perfect day would include time at their shore house on Long Beach Island, fishing, finished off with boating and sunset cocktails. He also enjoyed traveling, golfing and listening to Jimmy Buffet.
Beloved husband of 54 years to Deborah E. Pacella (nee Upton); devoted father of Brad (Kelly) Pacella and Marc (Heather) Pacella; cherished grandfather of Christian, Isabel, Julian, Addison and Adrian; dear brother of Karen (Dino) Vizzoca and Debbie (Wayne) Jenkins. Gerald is also surivived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to attend Gerald's visitation on Monday, June 16, 2025, 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM at the Mount Laurel Home for Funerals, 212 Ark Road, Mount Laurel, NJ, where his Memorial Service will follow at 12:00 PM.
