Obituary
Florence McDaniel, (nee Jancaric), age 94, formerly of Kerrville, Texas, passed away on November 1, 2024, at Brookdale Senior Living in Valparaiso, Indiana. Florence was born on May 29,1930 in Gary, Indiana.
She was the youngest of twelve siblings by Croation parents. She graduated from Emerson High School in 1947 and attended Gary Business College. In her early career she worked for an attorney and as an administrative assistant in the Welfare Department and as a court reporter. She later joined Atlantic Richfield Co. in Harvey, ll.
She enjoyed traveling throughout the US and abroad. She met the love of her life, H. David McDaniel, while working at Atlantic Richfield. They married on August 9, 1974, in Houston, Texas. After Dave retired the couple moved to their ranch in Kerrville, Texas, Tierra Linda. They spent many wonderful years on the ranch. Florence loved cooking and volunteering at Trinity Baptist Church. Dave became a recognized sculpture of birds and fowl. Dave passed away on April 13, 2001.
Florence was the last of her siblings to pass away and is survived by many nieces and nephews. She will truly be missed by her relatives and friends. Florence was one of those people that everyone loved. No one can ever remember her being in a bad mood. She was a genuinely sweet person.
She will be buried beside her loving husband, Dave, at Fort Sam Houston.
There will be a service in her honor at Trinity Baptist Church in Kerrville on November 20, 2024 at 3:00PM. The church is located at 800 Jackson Rd.
