Florence A. Meade, age 90, of Wheelersburg, OH passed away peacefully on August 17, 2025 at Rosemount Pavilion in Portsmouth with her granddaughter Mandy (Tom) McGlone by her side. She was born April 18, 1935, in Woodstock, OH to the late Harley Ralph and Mary Pearl (Grubb) Tussing. Florence was a member of Mabert Road Baptist Church in Portsmouth, OH.
Florence was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Gene Meade; son Kim R. Lozier; daughters Patricia Blevins and Ceda Sue Minturn; stepdaughter Vanessa Morris; brothers Harley Jr, Owen and Olan Tussing.
Florence is survived by her son Matthew (Denise) Miller of NC; stepdaughter Veronica (David) Wilson of Thornville, OH; brother Jim Tussing of Ashville, OH and sister-in-laws Cindy Tussing of Columbus, OH and Karol Tussing of Willard, OH; as well as numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and several great-great grandchildren.
Family will receive friends on Saturday, August 23, 2025 from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at 1:00 p.m. at the Oliver-Cheek Funeral Home, 420 W. Main St. Ashville, OH, with Doug Tussing offering words of comfort. Interment will follow at Fernwood Cemetery at 460 Rowe Rd, Lockbourne, OH 43137.
