Florence Louise Oest, 87 died March 10, 2025, following a long illness
Born December 22, 1937, in Clark Co. She was the daughter of Calvin R. Blakeman and Deltha G Blakeman (Butts).
She graduated from a small high school in Colorado with only 10 classmates. Several years later (with three kids), she returned to school and earned an associate’s degree.
She was a veteran of the US Navy having served as a photographer’s mate -airman.
She also worked doing data entry and later did volunteer work at the thrift store in Fruita
She enjoyed traveling and loved the mountains. When she was home, she enjoyed doing puzzles, knitting and playing games on her tablet.
She was a very quiet person that was always willing to help others
She was very dedicated to God and family
Florence is survived by two sisters Katie and Alma, three children Judy, Robert and Joseph, three grandchildren and several great grandchildren
Memorial services will be held at a later date
