Florence Walker Paddock, 88 of Franklin, PA, formerly of Masury, OH, passed away peacefully on Sunday August 31st, in the Caring Place in Franklin, PA, after a lengthy illness.
She was born in Sharon, PA on March 11, 1937, to Edward Walker and Jeanette (Brown) Walker.
Florence was married to Charles "Chuck" Paddock in 1959. He preceded her in death on October 20, 2009.
She graduated from Sharon high school in 1954 and then worked at the Westinghouse in Sharon PA for 8 years as Engineering Secretary. She later worked for Giant Eagle in Brookfield for 14 years as a cashier. Florence was the secretary for many years of the Mercer County Amateur Radio Club, as KA8NFP then W2AYH. She was a life long member of the Odd Fellows Rebekahs. Her interests were Amateur (Ham) Radio and making various style of crafts and crocheting.
Florence is survived by: Son, Robert Paddock of Franklin, PA; Six Nieces, Kimberly, Vicki, Cathleen, Jeannette, Brenda and Lisa; Two Nephews, James Walker and Dennis Yale;
Florence was preceded in death by: her parents and her husband; Sister, Ruth Ann (Dennis) Yale; Two Brothers, James A. Walker, and Edward D. Walker; Nephew, Michael Walker;
Visitation will be held at John Flynn Funeral Home & Crematory Inc. 2630 E. State St. in Hermitage, PA, on Monday, September 8, 2025, from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm. A funeral will follow at 3:00 pm in the funeral home chapel.
