After her adopting parent divorced, Myrtle married Frank Garrett, and they raised Pauline to adulthood. She graduated from the Bedford Iowa high school with a normal training certificate allowing her to teach school.
She met and married Neil Constant in 1946. Pauline gave birth to 4 sons, Allen, Michael, Kevin and Rodger. She worked as a waitress, homemaker and spent 40 years at the Printery House in Conception, Missouri, assembling calendars and boxing cards.
In 1986 she lost her husband to a heart attack. She was also preceded by her parents, Clarence and Lillian Dean, Will Garrett, Frank and Myrtle Garrett. Also her 3 sisters, Thelma Garrett Morris, Gladys Garrett, and Bernice Garrett, 3 brothers, Wilbur, Leland and Roscoe Dean, her son Rodger Constant, and her grandson, Dennis Constant.
