Florence E. Randall, 94, of Flat River Road, passed away with her loving family by her side on Wednesday, February 12, 2025, at the Hope Health Hospice Center in Providence. She was the beloved wife of the late Milton F. Randall.
Born at home in Johnston, RI, she was the daughter of the late Abraham A. and Elizabeth (Barden) Waterman.
Florence graduated from Central High School and went on to graduate from Edgewood Secretarial School. After graduating, she went to work at Bickford Engraving until she took time off to raise their family. She then went back to continue her career as a secretary for the Personnel Director of the State of Rhode Island State Hospitals. A lifelong church member, she was a founding member of Stillwater Baptist Church. She enjoyed crafting and reading and was a lifelong avid Red Sox fan.
She is survived by her children, Sharon E. King and her husband Doug of Monroe, MI, Jennifer L. Tyler of East Greenwich, David M. Randall of Fort Mills, SC, Holly L. Norman and her husband John of East Greenwich and Kristen A. Mancini and her husband Bill of Coventry; 9 grandchildren, Jason and Ryan King, James Randall, Amanda Boudreau, Derek Norman, Brittney Donahue, Greg Norman, Lily and Liam Mancini; 10 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Arnold Waterman, Elizabeth Derry, Fredrick Waterman, Eleanor Lucas, Sarah Allen and Edna Waterman.
Her Funeral Service will be held on Monday, February 17, 2025, at 11:30 a.m. in the Carpenter-Jenks Funeral Home, 659 East Greenwich Avenue, West Warwick, RI, followed by interment in the Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter, RI. Visiting hours are Sunday, February 16, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in Florence's name to Hope Health Hospice, 1085 North Main Street, Providence, RI 02904 would be appreciated.
